Working at Newby's

There was this gas station that I worked at near Red Lake Reservation called "Newby's Market." I must tell you, it had to be my favorite job up to this date because I got along with the workers, the boss (my ex-gf's dad) was a good person to work for, and I thank them a lot for having me get a job where nowehere else was hiring, along with the nursing home job that gave me horeshit hours at that time. Havenwood nursing home was alright, liked the work that was involved cuz it was easy, the old people were fun to bullshit with, my grandma lives there and it was always good to see her. I just didn't like how things were ran there cuz the boss hired her alcoholic brother for a cook, and her son along with his smartass high school buddies. Not a good environment with the bullshit politics there. Anywho, Newby's is a great place to work becuase it is not hard, you can snack on food for free, you meet interesting customers and the list goes on. Yea, there are some ugly things going on there. You have people urinating around gas pumps as you lock up the store, bad checks come there and you get bitched at for taking one, filling propane can be a bitch, but hey, rather have that than anything else. I had some alcoholic moron argue with me cuz he thought he gave me a dolalr for a powerball ticket, and he didn't, he actually gave me an old powerball ticket to check. I said i needed his dollar, he was like "I fucking gave you my dollar" with his blood shot eyes glaring at me!! He had to make a big deal out of it when I said he never gave me a dollar. So that poor son of a bitch tries to make my life hell, as he throws his money away on those damn lottery tickets. Maybe if he quits spending money on his pint of brandy everyday, lottery, and so forth, he'd be a happier person. You'll meet the nicest people, and the biggest pricks. I dealt with another asshole once. Funny thing is that dumbshit actually left five bucks on the counter and kept it for myself! The people I work with are nice and willing to say hi, and hang out with me outside of work. The manager there is kind of bitchy at times, and scares the customers away, which isn't good. She got a MA in vet. medicine and manages a gas station job for a living...no wonder she's bitchy! I put up with her shit though, and talk back whenever I need to fend for myself. Yea, I cross the boss there and she won't do a damn thing about it. She tries to make me look bad, but with a simple fuck you, leave me be, she lets me alone! This job taught me to stick up for myself, and let people know that I'm not the type of person to walk all over anymore, like years prior. I'm tired of being kicked around all my life, and now it's time that I show people just how much I am not a pushover anymore!! Don't feel like joining the military to become mentally strong...work at Newby's!! Hell, even though it's my ex-gf's store, I met a girl there who happens to be my ex's firend and she got a job there not too long ago. I really like to get to know her more, she seems nice but very opinionated (sometimes good and bad). She has got these blue eyes that are breath taking. The best thing about her is whenever my ex would bitch about our relationship, she would step in and stick up FOR ME!! She also has given me really good advice whenever I am having a little crisis, and I can't thank her enough. Thing about her is she is really afraid of men cuz her dad was an asshole, so I really don't know how to react or what to be like around her. Right now, she likes a guy who has 2 kids which is kind of a bummer. Oh well, but I still keep trying. My goal is to get her out with me on a quiet weekday at a movie or something!
