Saying Goodbye....
A few of my friends had me help them pack their stuff to move yesterday. One of them I met last week. Her name is Florence, and she is from Kenya and lives a floor down from me. She is quite a fireball, is very funny, and very nice. She told me she wished she knew me when she got here in January because she feels bad that she is leaving at least one cool 'guy' behind. I was really interested to get to know her, but it's sad that she hates Bemidji, and wants to go where the real action is....Minneapolis. Seems like whenever you have international students from Bemidji go to the cities, they just want to get the hell out of here, and make their home in minneapolis. I did get Florence's email address, and she got mine. I hope we can stay in contact because she is a wonderful person, very cute, and friendly. Too bad she won't come back up here.
Another buddy of mine, Evans, is from Kenya as well. I was with Lawrence and Sam today (a couple more of my friends from Africa) to help him move his stuff. We had him catch the greyhound so he could go to the cities. Ah....here we go again, Minneapolis. Just kidding...he has family there and will be making his way to Texas. He is a very interesting guy. Fucking energetic as hell all the time. Before he left, I had him drive my car and wow, I guess they have no speed limits in Kenya!! Anywho, I will miss him for sure, and I hope he makes his way back to BSU next year.
Then there's Cowboy Curt. God, I am going to miss the hell out of that guy. Interesting, and he's one of a kind. I remember the first time I met him, about two years ago He got bitched out in my Russia class spitting out his chew in his empty 20 oz pop bottle. Right in front of class...lol. He'd make people laugh and is all about having a good time. Wore the cowboy hat, and everyone knew on campus who he is. That blog about losing the chew one...yea, that's him. He will be taking off to Texas in a few weeks for the Army and I wish him the very best. Thank God for these blogs so I can keep in tough with all my good friends. Dammit anyway, it won't be the same without him!
Fuzzy....going to Colorado to finally find something he'll love doing. I can easily tell he really wants to get out of Bemidji. This guy lived next door to me at oak during my first year here, and tried to get me addicted to halo, but I sucked too bad at that game, I just couldn't. Fuzzy, I hope you'll get something out of going to school down there. Later dude, won't be the same without ya!
There are a few other great ppl I have met that have left, but never got a chance to know them all that well. I hope they go home safe, and see them in the future!!
As for my friends Lawrence and Sam, thank God they will stick around this summer. Some other people I know who will as well, and at least I got them. Very good and friendly guys to shoot the shit with, and hang out. As for you others...happy trails, I won't forget any of you!!
